We Be Ballin'

{Sunday Afternoon Energy Burn}

We attended a bowling party for the neighbor a few weeks ago and since then we've realized that we really kind of like hanging out at the alley!

Haylee starts out with good intentions but after a few throws she's cashed...last weekend she started us off with the first ball and it got stuck half way down the lane so we had to call for help, after that Jon would just run in after her and give her ball a boost.

{I love her little granny throw}

{after three frames she was down for the count}

{until mom bought her a slushie}

This past weekend we were invited to a birthday party for the husband of one of my new blogging BFF's at a local bowling alley so then it was my turn to throw around some ten pound balls. Honestly the whole balancing on the slippery shoes so you don't slide past the little black line while throwing that heavy ball is great exercise!

{yes, he's been in the sauce}

{neighbor ~ clearly has not been in the sauce}

{Maria "BBFF" and the birthday boy ~ go now and follow her here}

After a late night bowling with the big kids, I promised the littles that we would go the next afternoon and I invited my sister to go along with us.  We all went to church and then met up at a half way point for bowling and lunch.

{all four grandkids ~ oldest to youngest}

{uh oh...keep it together chicka}

Again Haylee bowled about five frames and then focused on listening for the loudspeaker to call our number for lunch to be done.  It took us just over an hour to play one game so we decided to eat our lunch and call it a day.

{he's such a hot dog}

{she wanted to eat quick...M&M's were waiting}

I'm glad that we've found something that we all enjoy and it's something that keeps our family active.  I'm hoping we can do more things as a family that get us up off the couch this year!

It looks like such a fun game for all of you. Hayley will get the hang of rolling the ball soon enough.
Me? I'd tear a muscle just thinking about it!

I love the picture you got of mr giving the cake to Jason. I think it's the only time I have ever seen Jason surprised! I realized on Saturday that I love bowling? When do you want to go next?

I love bowling even though I really suck. Matt hates bowling because he sucks. The absolute worst is little kid bowling parties. Mostly because I get annoyed that even the kids suck worse than me and the poor attendant has to get the ball a million times. I bet they hate their job. ;)
